xAmarula Cream, a distinctive cream liqueur from South Africa, is crafted from the fruit of the Marula tree, also known as "The Elephant Tree," and fresh cream. The process involves fermenting the fruit, distilling it in copper pot-stills, and aging the marula liquor in small oak casks for two years. After aging, it is enhanced with pure marula extract and blended with fresh cream. Best enjoyed chilled, over ice, or with crushed ice, Amarula Cream is also a versatile ingredient in desserts and cocktails. Once opened, it should be kept in a cool, dark place for no longer than a year.
The liqueur offers a rich, creamy texture with a prominent caramel flavor, complemented by notes of chocolate, baked banana, nutmeg, and a hint of cinnamon.
